ABC Bank deepens its commitment to education through a Sh300,000 support to Destiny Shapers Foundation

December 11th 2025 – ABC Bank deepened its commitment to education and uplifting vulnerable communities by donating Ksh300,000 to Destiny Shapers Foundation. The fundraiser held at Parklands – Nairobi, aimed to raise funds to support 600 needy children in Nairobi’s Korogocho slum by providing them with education and opportunities they need to break the cycle of poverty and create brighter futures.

ABC Bank’s contribution built on the Bank’s long-standing partnership with the community organisation, which began in 2023 through one of the Bank’s clients, during an extension drive of the foundation’s land to build additional classrooms and improved learning facilities to accommodate the growing number of children under the programme.

Speaking after the fundraiser, Mishel Mirithu, Relationship Manager – ABC Bank Koinange Branch, reiterated ABC Bank’s belief in quality education saying, “ABC Bank’s contribution to Destiny Shapers Foundation aligns with our broader commitment to sustainable social impact, and reflects our commitment to expanding access to education where every child has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.”

Destiny Shapers Foundation, which was founded in 2014, supports vulnerable children in Korogocho through feeding programmes, access to basic education, mentorship, and empowerment initiatives.

Through partnerships like these, ABC Bank remains committed to investing in education as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility to contribute to sustainable social transformation.
