ABC Bank’s Continued Support for Children’s Health through the 2025 Mater Heart Run

On Saturday, 31st May 2025, ABC Bank joined other Kenyans in support of the Mater Heart Run. This year marked the sixth time ABC Bank has sponsored and participated in the Mater Heart Run, demonstrating our commitment to community well-being and healthcare access.

The annual event, which is organised to support life-saving heart surgeries for underprivileged children, saw ABC Staff drawn from different branches and departments attend in different regions. Speaking at the event, one of the attendees and ABC Bank employee, Maurine Ambayi, shared, “It’s always an honour to be part of something that changes lives, and it was inspiring to meet some of the families whose children received care thanks to this initiative.”

Since its inception, Mater Heart Run has supported 5,684 children through open-heart surgeries and catheterisation procedures, as well as screening over 157,596 children.

ABC Bank is proud to have contributed to this noble cause and remains committed to supporting initiatives that uplift the lives of Kenyans through health, education, and economic empowerment.
