ABC Bank made its mark at the 2025 Interbank Games, which ended on 28th September. The annual sporting event, which brings banks together to compete, collaborate, and have fun, saw ABC Bank represented by a talented mix of track athletes, dart players, and a golf enthusiast.
On the track, Samuel Waithaka and Christopher Marwa impressed spectators with their speed and endurance in the 800m and 1500m races, pushing themselves against some of the fastest bankers in the country. “The support from our colleagues was incredible, it really lifted our spirits,” said Waithaka, reflecting on the cheering crowds. Meanwhile, the ABC dart squad competed fiercely, coming in 5th place. Dart captain Sifa Ronsky said, “Even though we didn’t win first place, this was the first time the bank submitted a full darts team. Every throw was about focus, fun, and representing ABC with pride. We are grateful for the opportunity we got to represent the bank.”
Leadership also got in on the action, with ABC Bank COO Mr. Apollo Njoroge competing in the CEO’s golf tournament. Beyond the competitions, ABC staff turned out in large numbers to cheer, wave the ABC flag, and network with colleagues from other banks during the vibrant closing ceremony.
With preparations already underway for the 2026 Games, ABC Bank looks set to build on this success and continue making its mark in future competitions.
