How do i open an account at ABC BANK?
We’re glad you have taken an interest in opening an account with us and make ABC Bank a home for your money. You can check out the various accounts we offer for our retail and business customers here.

How long will it take to open my account after submitting the requirements?
We try and open accounts in the shortest time possible. It will take a maximum of 24 hours for you to receive your account number if your documents are in order

Whats channels can i access my account?
Providing convenient access to your money is our priority. You can access your account through the following channels:
Branch – You can visit any of our branches country-wide. Click here for a list of our locations and contacts
Internet Banking – You can apply for Internet Banking (click here) and access various products and services such as account transfers, mobile transfers, and account statements from your device
ABC MasterCard – You can visit any MasterCard ATM to withdraw funds or check balance

Weekdays: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

How can i get the ABC Mobile App?
Download it from Google Playstore or the App Store

How can i send money from my account to M-Pesa?
First, you have to register for Internet Banking then you can login to your account via web or our mobile app then transfer to M-Pesa wallet.

How can i send money from M-Pesa to my account?
Follow the following steps on your mobile phone:

Go to M-Pesa > Paybill on your phone
Use Paybill number 111777
Enter your ABC Bank account number under the account number
Enter amount then your M-Pesa Pin and send

What are the charges for Mobile Transfers?
The best thing about this service is that it’s Instant. You can access your account 24/7 from wherever you are.

How much money can i send from my account to M-Pesa
Transaction amount: You can send up to Kes 250,000 per transaction
M-Pesa Balance: Maximum daily amount that an M-Pesa wallet can hold is Kes 500,000

What should i do when i send money to the wrong number?
We hope that doesn’t happen but if it does, reach out to us through our Customer Service line on 0719 015 000 or 0701 700 700 immediately and our team will liaise with Safaricom to assist in reversing the transaction before the money is withdrawn.

What should i do when my password is blocked?
This can be quite frustrating. But don’t worry, we’ve got your back. Contact us by sending an email to talk2us@abcthebank.com or diaspora@abcthebank.com and we will reset your password in no time and you will get to access your account and enjoy our services. Easy peasy, so don’t stress about it.

Which ATMs can i use with my ABC Mastercard?
You can use your card on all Mastercard and Kenswitch branded ATMs. Click here for the full list of ATMs you can access in Kenya.

What should i do when i have blocked or forgotten my ATM Card Pin?
If you remember the correct pin you can call us so that the error can be unblocked. Do not share the pin with the Bank officials when they are unblocking it. When you forget the pin, please apply for a replacement of the card by visiting your branch and filling the relevant form.

Can i use my MasterCard abroad or for online transactions?
Yes, you can use it on all MasterCard branded ATMs, point of sale and online sites. However, be careful with your card details and verify online sites before providing your card details as some may be fraudulent.

How can i contact the bank when i have a card issue?
You can call us on 0204440033 or write an email to abccards@abcthebank.com
This number is printed at the back of your card, so don’t worry you don’t have to memorize it.

What are the charges for applying for a new debit card?
The charges are Kes 600 (Kes 500 + 20% excise duty)

How can i get an ATM Card?
An ATM Card gives you the convenience of accessing your money at ATMs, shopping, online payments e.t.c You can apply for one by filling a form at the nearest branch or make an email request where you will be sent the necessary forms.

How long does it take to to get a new ATM Card?
A card takes five working days to be processed and made available at your branch. You will be notified once the card is ready to come collect it.

Can i collect my ATM Card from another branch? What if i am in diaspora? If so are there any charges?
Yes you can, you will give details of the branch you want it to be sent to. For diaspora we can deliver the card to the country when you give us directions and location. There are shipping charges for Card deliveries to countries outside Kenya. Please ensure the country is not a war zone or a temporary location where we get the parcels returned when you are not there to pick it.

How long does it take for a cheque to mature?
It takes 2 working days for a cheque to mature

How can I get a loan from the Bank?
Visit your nearest branch and you will be advised on the requirements necessary for the various types of loans.

How long does it take fro a loan to be approved?
This is approved on a case to case basis. However, we try and process loans in the shortest time possible.

How long does it take for an RTGS/International transfer to be completed?
It takes 24 hours for an RTGS and 48 hours for an international transfer. The cut-off time for local transfers is 2 P.M. You can still do a transaction after 2 P.M. However, the transaction will be completed the following working day.

What are the charges for RTGS/International transfer?
Charges for Real Time Gross Settlement – Kes 600 (Kes 500 + 20% excise duty)
International Transfers – Kes 1800 (Kes 1500 + 20% excise duty)

How long does it take for an RTGS/International transfer to be completed?
It takes 24 hours for an RTGS and 48 hours for an international transfer. The cut-off time for local transfers is 2 P.M. You can still do a transaction after 2 P.M. However, the transaction will be completed the following working day.
