2022 was a phenomenal year for the African Banking Corporation Limited (ABC Bank) because of your support. The Bank won several awards and accolades and was recognized by professional bodies and institutions. We could not have done this without you, our customers.
On 2nd December, African Banking Corporation Limited (ABC Bank) was feted at the Champions of Governance Awards gala. The Bank was awarded 1st runners up – Finance and Investment category during the Champions of Governance Awards ceremony organized by the Institute of Certified Secretaries (ICS).
In September, we won our first Catalyst Award. African Banking Corporation Limited (ABC Bank) won Best Bank in Financing a Commercial Client – 2nd place at the 2022 Kenya Bankers Association (KBA) Sustainable Finance Initiative (SFI) Catalyst Awards. We got recognition by the Banking industry for creating long-term value in the agriculture sector. This was a huge milestone for us and our customers.
In May, we scooped three awards at the Think Business Banking Awards Gala.

Best bank in sustainable corporate social responsibility – 1st runners up
Best bank in digital banking – 2nd runners up
The bank with the lowest charges for individuals – 2nd runners up
Additionally, Think Business recognized ABC Bank as the 2nd best among Tier 3 banks in the Infotrak Customer Satisfaction Survey.
On 17th February, African Banking Corporation Limited (ABC Bank) was recognized as the Best Bank in Digital Experience – Tier 3 Banks category in the Banking Industry Customer Satisfaction Survey conducted by Kenya Bankers Association (KBA).
Lastly, ABC Bank was given the opportunity to serve through our Group Managing Director Mr. Shamaz Savani being appointed to the National Drought Steering Committee that was established by His Excellency President Ruto. Together with other CEOs they were tasked with mobilizing additional resources to address the worsening drought impacts and supplement the government’s drought response program in alleviating the impact of the country’s drought. This aligns with our corporate social responsibility goals of serving and supporting our communities.
